A 61st Anniversary!

Today is the 61st anniversary of Jackie Robinson's debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers. April 15, 1947 is certainly one of the greatest days in the history of our country. Breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball was a major advancement in the struggle for civil rights. If only MLB had done the right thing decades earlier. Imagne Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson in their prime playing alongside the likes of Gehrig, Dimaggio, Geringer, Foxx, Dean, Medwick, and the others from the 30s and 40s.
