Pinson Mounds

Today, I spent a few minutes touring the Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park between Henderson (FHU) and Jackson, Tennessee. The park is known for the 17 mounds built by Native Americans nearly 2,000 years ago. The tallest of these mounds, known as Sauls' Mound, is in the photo above. The photo below was taken on the park grounds (the moon looked bigger in person).

Delighted you are having a good trip. We used to visit the Vicksburg Military Trail frequently when my family still lived in MS.
